Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: September 14, 2026

Welcome to The Bark Site Grooming Spa. These Terms & Conditions explain the policies that apply when you book, purchase, or receive grooming services from The Bark Site. By scheduling an appointment or allowing us to provide grooming services for your pet, you agree to these terms.

1. Appointments & Scheduling

Appointments are subject to availability. Appointment times are reserved specifically for your pet, and clients are encouraged to arrive on time and notify us as soon as possible if plans change.

Service times are estimates and may vary depending on your pet’s size, coat condition, behavior, requested service, and individual needs. The Bark Site prioritizes safe, low-stress grooming and may adjust the grooming process when necessary for your pet’s comfort and safety.

2. Vaccination Requirements

For grooming appointments performed in coordination with Animal Paradise Hospital, current Rabies and Distemper (DHPP, DA2P, DAPP, or equivalent) vaccination records may be required.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate and current vaccination information before the appointment when requested.

Requirements may differ for certain pets based on age, medical circumstances, veterinary guidance, or approved exceptions.

3. Health & Medical Conditions

Clients should inform The Bark Site of any known medical conditions, allergies, injuries, skin conditions, behavioral concerns, recent surgeries, medications, or other circumstances that could affect the grooming process.

Grooming can occasionally reveal previously unnoticed conditions such as skin irritation, lumps, ear concerns, parasites, wounds, or other abnormalities. When appropriate, we may notify the client and recommend veterinary evaluation.

The Bark Site does not diagnose medical conditions or provide veterinary treatment.

4. Pet Behavior & Safety

Clients should disclose any known history of biting, aggression, extreme anxiety, or other behavior that may create a safety concern.

The Bark Site reserves the right to modify, shorten, or stop a grooming service if continuing would create an unreasonable risk to the pet, groomer, staff, or others.

In these situations, the client may still be responsible for charges reflecting the work already performed and the time reserved for the appointment.

5. Coat Condition & Matting

Severe matting can cause discomfort and may increase the risk of irritation, redness, small cuts, bruising, or previously hidden skin conditions becoming visible during grooming.

When significant matting is present, The Bark Site may recommend a shorter haircut or another approach that prioritizes the pet’s safety and comfort rather than attempting excessive dematting.

Additional charges may apply when coat condition requires substantially more time or specialized handling.

6. Pricing & Payment

Prices displayed online or discussed before an appointment may be estimates unless a final price has been specifically confirmed.

Final pricing may vary depending on the pet’s size, breed, coat type and condition, behavior, service requirements, additional services, and time required to safely complete the groom.

Payment is due when services are completed unless another arrangement has been approved in advance.

7. Cancellations, No-Shows & Late Arrivals

The Bark Site asks clients to provide at least 24 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment whenever possible.

Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may require a deposit before future appointments can be reserved.

Late arrival may require the appointment to be modified or rescheduled if there is not enough time remaining to safely complete the scheduled service.

8. Creative Grooming & Specialty Services

Creative grooming services, including pet-safe coloring or decorative treatments, may require additional consultation.

When coloring products are used, a patch test may be recommended or required before the full service. Individual pets may react differently to grooming or cosmetic products, even when products are designed for use on pets.

The Bark Site may decline a creative service if it is not considered appropriate for the pet.

9. In-Home Grooming

For in-home grooming appointments, the client is responsible for providing a safe and suitable working environment with reasonable access to water, electricity, and adequate space when required for the scheduled service.

The Bark Site may stop or reschedule an in-home appointment if the environment creates a safety concern for the pet or groomer.

10. Animal Paradise Hospital

The Bark Site Grooming Spa works with Animal Paradise Hospital in connection with certain grooming operations, including access to the grooming location and, when applicable, administrative coordination, vaccination verification, client communication, and payment-related activities.

The Bark Site Grooming Spa and Animal Paradise Hospital are separate businesses and are responsible for their respective services and professional activities.

Limited client and pet information may be shared when reasonably necessary to coordinate appointments, payments, communications, vaccination requirements, or related services. This may include information such as the client’s name, phone number, email address, pet information, and appointment details.

Additional information about how personal information is handled is available in The Bark Site’s Privacy Policy.

12. Photos & Media

The Bark Site may occasionally photograph completed grooming work for business documentation or promotional purposes.

When additional consent is appropriate or required, it may be requested separately. Clients may also request that photographs of their pet not be used for promotional purposes.

13. Limitation of Responsibility

The Bark Site takes reasonable precautions to provide grooming services safely and professionally. Grooming involves handling live animals, and individual behavior, underlying medical conditions, coat condition, and other circumstances may affect the service.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to waive rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
